Named a top ten U.S. Innovator for her social science work, awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship and Eli Lilly Foundation Fellowship among other honors, Dr. Maroon believes strongly in giving back as evidenced by her receipt of the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award. At once a successful social entrepreneur and researcher, Dr. Maroon is a scholar of anthropology and behavioral economics. She devotes her spare time to being an enthusiastic board member of several nonprofit associations in the areas of civic engagement, youth, and public arts.
Joyfully at home in the Northeast and Southeast, Dr. Maroon teaches Organizational Culture and Cultures of Happiness at Rollins College. Passionate philanthropist, grateful mom, athlete, meditator, and avid rescue dog parent, she synergizes her values and practices to live and share the dynamic keys for creating the best possible outcomes each and everyday.
Dr. Maroon grew up in the amazing beauty of Hudson Valley complemented by life in the demanding pace and innovative grace of New York City. She credits her childhood sceneries with establishing her enduring love of nature, science, and the poetic ingenuities of everyday human behavior.
